FAQ

Magtein, also known as magnesium L-threonate, is a form of magnesium that has gained attention for its potential cognitive benefits. While more research is needed to fully understand its effects, some potential benefits of Magtein include:

  1. Relief from muscle cramps: Magnesium can reduce or prevent teeth grinding, jaw clenching, and muscle tension.
  2. Cognitive Enhancement: Magtein has been studied for its potential to enhance cognitive function, particularly memory and learning. It is believed to increase magnesium levels in the brain, which may support synaptic plasticity and improve memory formation.
  3. Neuroprotection: Magtein has shown promise in protecting the brain against age-related cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases. It may help reduce oxidative stress, inflammation, and neuronal damage, potentially slowing down the progression of conditions like Alzheimer's disease.
  4. Mood Regulation: Magnesium plays a crucial role in mood regulation, and Magtein may help support healthy emotional well-being. Some studies suggest that magnesium supplementation can improve symptoms of depression and anxiety.
  5. Sleep Quality: Magnesium is involved in the regulation of sleep, and Magtein may help improve sleep quality. It can promote relaxation and help regulate neurotransmitters involved in sleep-wake cycles, potentially leading to better sleep.
  6. Overall Brain Health: Magtein's ability to increase magnesium levels in the brain may have broader implications for brain health. Adequate magnesium levels are essential for optimal brain function and may contribute to overall cognitive health and well-being.

It's important to note that individual responses to Magtein may vary, and more research is needed to fully understand its benefits and potential side effects. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen.

MDMA causes a sharp increase in oxidative hydroxyl radicals shortly after consumption. It is now believed that this rise in oxidative stress is likely involved in MDMA's neurotoxicity, and may be involved in some of its negative side effects. Very high doses of injected antioxidants have been shown in rats to dramatically reduce or block MDMA neurotoxicity as well as reduce tolerance to MDMA's effects between neurotoxic doses. Based on these findings, it is possible that common antioxidants in vitamains may be effective at reducing risks of MDMA neurotoxicity, hangover effect, tolerance, and general body stress.

Antioxidants like Ascorbic acid could be more promising than SSRIs for widespread use in reducing MDMA neurotoxicity. Since the damage appears to be caused by oxidative stress, one way to reduce this might be to simply increase the amount of antioxidants available to the cells. Research has shown that antioxidants alone can prevent neurotoxicity caused by enormous doses of MDMA. Several additional lab stuedies have reproduced and confirmed that high-dose, injected antioxidants block MDMA neurotoxicity in rats.

A study published in the NCBI found that the “Treatment of rats with ascorbic acid suppressed the generation of hydroxyl radicals, as evidenced by the production of 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid from salicylic acid, in the striatum during the administration of a neurotoxic regimen of MDMA. Ascorbic acid also attenuated the MDMA-induced depletion of striatal 5-HT content.”

But perhaps even more interesting is the work done with well tolerated and available antioxidants such as ascorbic acid (vitamin C) showing similar protection. Research has found that rats given extreme doses of MDMA (20 mg/kg injected under the skin) had lasting damage to their serotonin system, but that rats given this same dose of MDMA with a very high dose of ascorbic acid (250 mg/kg injected) showed no sign of serotonin damage.

GET MORE SLEEP! Sleeping it off is one way to deal with the effects of MDMA hangover. Typically, sleeping for eight hours or more may reduce the effects of the comedown. Since MDMA can keep you up, it may stop you from getting enough sleep. This sleep deprivation can then exacerbate the negative after-effects of MDMA, such as fatigue, low mood, and irritability. Anecdotal evidence has long suggested that many of the most common comedown symptoms may be the result of not enough sleep, rather than the MDMA itself.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Do not use MDMA with other drugs that also have the potential to produce hangovers like alcohol, benzodiazepines, SSRI’s or opiates.

HYDRATE! Hydrating with water or electrolyte-containing fluids may help your metabolism to run more smoothly. This may reduce the length of the hangover. Not drinking enough water can cause you to become severely dehydrated. When ecstasy is used with alcohol, the effects can be more harmful Make sure to take regular breaks to cool down, and sip water slowly.

LIMIT USE: Use ecstasy less often to avoid potential hangover effects associated with the drug.

HEALTHY FOODS: Consider having a hearty and healthy meal about 4 hours before you take MDMA.

SUPPLEMENTS: Take muscimol, magnesium, vitamin C, Lion’s Mane, green tea extract, grape seed extract, Acetyl-L-Carnitine.

CHILL & RECOVER: Please do NOT make any life-changing decisions until after your recovery. Trust that it can wait till later.
